101st birthday to Holocaust survivor Miriam Harel

The 101st birthday to Holocaust survivor Miriam Harel was marked in a special tribute. Miriam survived the Łódź Ghetto, Auschwitz, and Bergen-Belsen, came to Israel, and became a writer of more than 20 books. She is a significant figure in Israeli society, dedicated to preserving Holocaust remembrance, and even at her remarkable age, she continues to travel throughout the country to share her personal story, one that also reflects the story of many Jews of Łódź and Poland during the Holocaust.

During the visit of a special delegation from the city of Płońsk, Poland, together with the Ambassador of Poland in Israel, Mr. Maciej Hunia, participants marked the 101st birthday to Holocaust survivor Miriam Harel at the Mashmaut Center.

Miriam was born in November 1924 in the city of Łódź, Poland, and was a member of the zionist Gordonia youth movement. When the war broke out, she entered the ghetto together with her family and friends. After surviving the horrors of the Holocaust in the Łódź Ghetto, Miriam was deported to the Auschwitz extermination camp, where she remained for three weeks. She was then transferred to the Bergen-Belsen camp in Germany, where she survived until liberation.

Miriam Harel came to Israel, established a family, and built a new life in the State of Israel, where she continues to live in Kiryat Bialik to this day. She became an author, writing more than twenty books, and works to share her moving personal story.

In the presence of the Ambassador of Poland to Israel, Mr. Maciej Hunia, the Mayor of Płońsk, a distinguished delegation, and a large audience, and on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition “Jewish Sports in Poland Between the Two World Wars,” we celebrated Miriam 101st birthday and wished her a good health and many more years to come.

ציון יום הולדת 101 לשורדת השואה מרים הראל, ששרדה את גטו לודז', אושוויץ וברגן בלזן, עלתה לישראל והייתה לסופרת שכתבה מעל עשרים ספרים. מרים היא דמות חשובה בישראל הפועלת להנצחת זיכרון השואה, ועוד היום בגילה המופלג היא ממשיכה להגיע לכל מקום בארץ כדי לספר את סיפורה האישי, שהוא גם סיפורם של רבים מיהודי לודז' ופולין בתקופת השואה. בביקור במרכז משמעו"ת במעמד משלחת מיוחדת מהעיר פלונסק ושגריר פולין בישראל, חגגו המשתתפים למרים.

במהלך ביקור משלחת מיוחדת מהעיר פלונסק בפולין, יחד עם שגריר פולין בישראל מר מאצ'י הוניה, ציינו המשתתפים יום הולדת 101 לשורדת השואה מרים הראל במרכז משמעו"ת.

מרים נולדה בנובמבר 1924 בעיר לודז' שבפולין, הייתה חניכת תנועת הנוער גורדוניה. כשפרצה המלחמה נכנסה לגטו יחד עם משפחתה וחבריה. לאחר ששרדה את תופת השואה בגטו לודז', הגיעה מרים למחנה ההשמדה אושוויץ שם שהתה כשלושה שבועות. לאחר מכן הגיעה למחנה ברגן בלזן שבגרמניה ושם שרדה עד לשחרור.

מרים הראל עלתה לארץ והקימה משפחה ובנתה חיים חדשים במדינת ישראל ומתגוררת עד היום בקריית ביאליק. היא הייתה לסופרת וכתבה למעלה מעשרים ספרים ופועלת ללא ליאות לספר את סיפרה האישי המרגש.

במעמד שגריר פולין בישראל מר מאצ'י הוניה,ראש עיריית פלונסק ומשלחת נכבדת ובעת פתיחת התערוכה על ספורט יהודי בפולין בין שתי מלחמות עולם וקהל רב חגגנו למרים את יום הולדתה ה-101 ואיחלנו לה הרבה בריאות ואריכות ימים.

Ambassadors of Goodwill: The Płońsk (Poland) Delegation to Kiryat Motzkin

A summary of a moving and meaningful visit by a delegation from Płońsk, the city of David Ben-Gurion’s childhood, to Kiryat Motzkin. The Visit was rich and diverse, featuring high-quality professional tours that showed the very best of the city’s work. These included visits to schools and a fascinating glimpse into the world of education—from the Ben-Gurion Elementary School through the Junior high schools and the city’s high school. Everywhere they went, the delegation encountered professionalism and innovation.

The visit of the delegation from the city of Płońsk—birthplace of David Ben-Gurion, Israel’s first Prime Minister—included distinguished representatives, led by the Mayor of Płońsk, Andrzej Józef Pietrasik, alongside senior municipal officials. The delegation also comprised educational teams from Płońsk’s school, where Ben-Gurion himself studied, and was accompanied by the Ambassador of Poland to Israel, Maciej Hunia.

Upon their arrival in Israel, the delegation was welcomed by the staff of Mashmaut Center, led by the Center’s Director and the Director of Foreign Relations of the Motzkin Municipality, Dr. Lea Ganor. the delegation continued to Ben-Gurion House in Tel Aviv, where a guided tour proved fascinating and generated great interest. The Mayor of Płońsk contributed significantly to the discussion, sharing examples of materials housed in the Ben-Gurion Museum in Płońsk.

The delegation then proceeded to the Polish Institute, where they were received by the Institute’s Director, Magdalena Kukuła. Following their arrival in Haifa, the delegation toured the region accompanied by the Mashmaut Center team, traveling from Haifa through the Krayot and onward to Acre.

The third day of the delegation’s visit featuring a particularly moving meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to Israel, Mr. Maciej Hunia, and the Director of the Polish Institute in Tel Aviv, Ms. Magdalena Kukuła. The morning began with a warm and extensive meeting at the office of Kiryat Motzkin’s Mayor, Tziki Avisar, attended by city council members and the Mashmaut Center team.

Later in the week, the delegation visited Ben-Gurion School, where they were warmly welcomed by first-grade students. The highlight of the visit was the face-to-face meeting between the teachers from Płońsk and Ben-Gurion School, who shared their experience in the Zoom program on Ben-Gurion’s leadership, guided by the Mashmaut Center.

The remainder of the day was dedicated to remembrance at a moving ceremony in Golda Garden, where wreaths were laid at the base of the “Flames of the Holocaust” monument. The Ambassador, the Mayor of Płońsk, Mr. Andrzej Pietrasik, and Mayor Ziki Avisar together planted a pomegranate tree—a symbol of friendship, memory, and shared growth.

From there, the delegation proceeded to Mashmaut Center for the launch of the exhibition "Jewish Sports in Poland Between the Two World Wars". The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Mira Sagi and Dafna Elkobi, daughters of the Maccabi Kraków player Romek 'Motorek' – a historic moment of closure and remembrance.

In this historical commemoration, the birthdays of Holocaust survivors Miriam Harel (101) and Shlomit Ben-Ari (90) were celebrated. Speeches by the Mayor and the Ambassador touched the hearts of all present. The beautiful performance by the Kalanit Club Choir, conducted by Snizana, who also sang in Polish, moved the Polish delegation to tears. Students Maya Gingold and Noa Nahum Moved the audience with their remarkable singing. Students from Yonatan & Rabin Junior High School shared their project "Youth for Holocaust Remembrance" and representatives of the Municipal Youth Council asked the Ambassador questions – proof that the bridges we have built are strong and enduring.

The wonderful delegation from Płońsk did not stop praising and expressing admiration for the visit and the events they experienced. Our heartfelt thanks go to them for the shared partnership, remembrance, and friendship. The visit in Kiryat Motzkin concluded with a tour to the city’s unique zoo and the beautiful municipal theater.

שגרירים של רצון טוב: משלחת פלונסק (פולין) בקריית מוצקין

סיכום ביקור מרגש של משלחת מעיר ילדותו של דוד בן גוריון, פלונסק, בקריית מוצקין. תוכנית הביקור היתה עשירה ומגוונת, וכללה ביקורים מקצועיים ואיכותיים שהציגו את מיטב העשייה בעיר וביניהם בתי ספר והצצה מרתקת לעולם החינוך, מביה"ס היסודי בן גוריון ועד חטיבות הביניים והתיכון בעיר – בכל מקום ראתה המשלחת מקצוענות וחדשנות. תרבות ופנאי: ביקור בתיאטרון העירוני, בקונסרבטוריון, בחי פארק – גן החיות הידוע של מוצקין, ובמרכז משמעו"ת.

ביקורה של משלחת העיר פלונסק, עיר הולדתו של דוד בן גוריון, ראש הממשלה הראשון של ישראל, כללה נציגים מכובדים החל מראש עיריית פלונסק, אנדריי יוזף פיטראסיק ובעלי תפקידים בעירייה, צוותי חינוך מבית הספר הותיק של פלונסק, בו גם למד בן גוריון ובליוויו של שגריר פולין בישראל מאצ'י הוניה.

עם הגיעה לישראל התקבלה המשלחת על ידי צוות מרכז משמעו"ת בראשות מנהלת המרכז ומנהלת קשרי החוץ של עיריית מוצקין, ד"ר לאה גנור. משם המשיכו לבית בן גוריון בתל אביב, הסיור המודרך היה מרתק והמשלחת גילתה ענין רב ,ראש העיר של פלונסק תרם לשיח רבות בהביאו דוגמאות מחומרים שנמצאים במוזיאון על בן גוריון בפלונסק. לאחר מכן הגיעו למכון הפולני שם קיבלה את פניהם מנהלת המכון מגדלנה קוקולה. לאחר ההגעה לחיפה ביקרה המשלחת בליוויו צוות מרכז משמעו"ת, מחיפה דרך הקריות ועד עכו.

היום השלישי לביקור המשלחת היה שיא הביקור בו נפגשו שגריר פולין בישראל, מר מאצ'י הוניה, מנהלת המכון הפולני בתל אביב גב' מגדה קוקולה עם המשלחת היקרה, ויצר רגעים מרגשים במיוחד. הבוקר נפתח במפגש מרחיב לב בלשכת ראש העיר ציקי אבישר, במעמד חברי מועצה וצוות מרכז משמעו"ת. בהמשך השבוע ביקרו בבית הספר בן גוריון, שם התקבלה המשלחת בחום על ידי ילדי כיתות א'. גולת הכותרת הייתה המפגש פנים מול פנים בין המורות מפלונסק ומבן גוריון, שחלקו את הניסיון המשותף שלהן בתוכנית הזום פורצת הדרך בנושא מנהיגותו של בן גוריון, בהדרכת מרכז משמעו"ת. המשך היום הוקדש לזיכרון בטקס מרגש בגן גולדה, שם הונחו זרים למרגלות האנדרטה "בלהבות השואה". כבוד השגריר, ראש עיריית פלונסק מר אנדז'י פיטרשיק וראש העיר ציקי אבישר, נטעו יחד עץ רימון – סמל לידידות, זיכרון ופריחה משותפת.

משם הגיעו למרכז משמעו"ת להשקת התערוכה המרתקת על "הספורט היהודי בפולין בין שתי מלחמות עולם". גזירת הסרט התקיימה במעמד מירה שגיא ודפנה אלקובי, בנותיו של שחקן מכבי קרקוב רומק 'מוטורק' ז"ל – רגע של סגירת מעגל היסטורית. בתוך כל הזיכרון ההיסטורי, ציינו ימי הולדת לשורדות השואה מרים הראל (101) ולשלומית בן ארי (90). נאומו של ראש העיר ונאום השגריר נגעו בלב כולם. שירתה היפה של מקהלת מועדון כלנית (מחלקה הקליטה) בניצוחה של סניזאנה שגם שרה בפולנית וריגשה עד דמעות את המשלחת דוברת הפולנית. התלמידות מאיה גינגולד ונועה נחום, לא הותירו אף עין יבשה בקהל בשירתם הנפלאה. תלמידי חט"ב יונתן ורבין שיתפו בפרויקט "נוער למען זיכרון השואה", ונציגי מועצת הנוער העירונית העלו שאלות בפני השגריר – הוכחה לכך שהגשרים שבנינו עומדים איתן.

המשלחת הנפלאה מפלונסק לא הפסיקה לשבח ולהתפעל מהביקור והאירועים שחוו. תודה על השותפות, הזיכרון והידידות. הביקור במוצקין הסתיים בסיור בגן החיות הייחודי ובהיכל התיאטרון היפה של קריית מוצקין.

When Zionism Meets a Beating Heart: Panama Ambassador to Israel Visits the Mashmaut Center

An exciting visit by the Panama Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Ezra Cohen and his wife Linda Cohen, to Kiryat Motzkin and Mashmaut Center. During his visit, the Ambassador was given a tour by the center's staff, led by Dr. Lea Ganor and Mayor Mr. Tziki Avisar. The highlight of the meeting was an intergenerational event with youth and Holocaust survivors at Mashmaut Center.

The Mashmaut Center, managed by Dr. Lea Ganor, and the Motzkin Municipality, led by Mayor Mr. Tziki Avisar, hosted the Ambassador of Panama to Israel, Mr. Ezra Cohen, and his wife Linda Cohen, in an extraordinary and particularly moving visit to Kiryat Motzkin and the Mashmaut Center.

Ambassador Cohen is a passionate Zionist who has contributed greatly to strengthening ties between the State of Israel and Panama, and in particular to the strong Jewish community. This is his first visit, and it is the beginning of a wonderful friendship. We see this as an opening to create deeper ties with the Jewish community in Panama and with Panama as a whole, which is a true friend of Israel.

The ambassador and his wife were deeply moved by the warm welcome that was held in their honor, but the highlight was the unique encounter at Mashmaut Center. The presence of four generations – from Holocaust survivors to youth – created a moving intergenerational encounter. Quite literally, not a single eye remained dry at the sight of the moving connection between Holocaust survivors and members of the younger generation.

The ambassador was very impressed by the mayor's words about Kiryat Motzkin and the activities of Mashmaut. He was particularly impressed by the short and touching testimonial video, produced and edited by the dedicated Center`s staff – just one example of dozens of testimonies they are commemorating.

Intense excitement gripped everyone as the children's choir of the Calanit Club, conducted by teacher Snizana, sang "Am Yisrael Chai" (The People of Israel are alive) in a clear voice. Another highlight was when singer Snizana, who has a wonderful voice, sang in Spanish with the six-year-old choir girl – a particularly moving tribute to the guest from Panama.

The ambassador and his wife were also very impressed by the promising future generation. The youth representatives from the 10th grade from ORT high school of Kiryat Motzkin, accompanied by the director Anat Shahaf and Ehud Ben Gera, displayed a spirit of excellence and asked the ambassador important questions, and a very interesting dialogue took place. The students of the municipal student council proudly presented their wonderful work for the community.

A huge thank to all the partners who made this day unforgettable: To Mayor Tziki Avisar for his support and encouragement in creating cultural and educational bridges with communities around the world. To the wonderful singer and dedicated teacher of the Calanit Children's Choir, Snizana, To Ziva, director of the youth Unit, and to Einav, director of the municipal student council. Hanukkah 2025 at Mashmaut Center

In keeping with the tradition of Mashmaut Center, we organized a particularly exciting intergenerational Hanukkah gathering. The festive gathering ahead of Hanukkah, initiated by Mashmaut Center team led by Dr. Lea Ganor and in collaboration with the Director of minstry of education (haifa district) Einav Yaniv-Schwartz, was attended by dear Holocaust survivors, veteran citizens, and volunteers who work at the Misimot Center.

The special meeting was also attended by students from the Rodman K. Yam, Afek and Dafna K. Bialik and Rogozin A. Kiryat Ata Junior high schools, who are Participants in "Youth for Holocaust Remembrance" program, led by Betty Danon, director of the community, youth and education (haifa district) , and Inbal Raz, director of Mashmaut Center.

The meeting was opened by Rabbi Tal Biton, Director of Torah Culture, Motzkin, and Rabbi Adi Pinto, Volunteer Coordinator, with a special blessing and symbolic candle lighting. Inbal Raz and Betty Danon greeted the participants and emphasized how Holocaust survivors are the heart of our activities.

The Afek Hatav students' band, directed by Galit Oren, and representatives from Ulpanat Segula, who were invited to the event, greeted the Holocaust survivors and held a short performance. Not a single eye was left dry when Holocaust survivor Avraham Lerner greeted us with his traditional blessing, "That we have lived and sustained and reached this time."

Many thanks to Mayan Solomon, Director of the Welfare Department, and Iris Hornstein, Coordinator of Veterans Affairs, for the transportation, the donuts, and the humble gift for the Holocaust survivors. Many thanks to all the program coordinators in the schools, to the dear staff of Mashmaut Center, and may we all have a Hanukkah holiday full of lights and good days!

כשציונות פוגשת לב פועם: ביקור שגריר פנמה בישראל במרכז משמעו"ת

ביקור מרגש של שגריר פנמה בישראל, מר עזרא כהן ואשתו לינדה כהן, בקריית מוצקין ובמרכז משמעו"ת. במהלך ביקורו נערך לשגריר סיור על ידי צוות המרכז בהנחייתה של ד"ר לאה גנור וראש העיר מר ציקי אבישר. השיא של המפגש היה באירוע הבין דורי עם נוער ושורדי שואה במרכז משמעו"ת.

מרכז משמעו"ת בהנהלת ד"ר לאה גנור ועיריית מוצקין בהובלת ראש העיר מר ציקי אבישר, אירחו בביקור יוצא דופן שהיה מרגש במיוחד את שגריר פנמה בישראל, מר עזרא כהן ורעייתו לינדה כהן, בקריית מוצקין ובמרכז משמעו"ת.

השגריר כהן הוא איש ציוני מובהק, שתורם רבות לחיזוק הקשרים בין מדינת ישראל לפנמה, ובפרט לקהילה היהודית החזקה שם. זהו ביקור ראשון, וזוהי תחילתה של ידידות נפלאה. אנו רואים בכך פתח ליצירת קשרים עמוקים יותר עם הקהילה היהודית בפנמה ועם פנמה כולה, שהיא ידידת אמת של ישראל.

השגריר ורעייתו התרגשו עד עומק הנשמה מקבלת הפנים החמה שנערכה לכבודם, אך גולת הכותרת הייתה המפגש המיוחד במינו במרכז משמעו"ת. הנוכחות של ארבעה דורות בקהל – משורדי/ות שואה ועד נוער – יצרה מפגש בין-דורי מטלטל. פשוטו כמשמעו, אף עין לא נותרה יבשה למראה החיבור המרגש בין שורדי/ות השואה לבני הדור הצעיר.

השגריר התרשם מאוד מדברי ראש העיר על קריית מוצקין ומפעילותו של מרכז משמעו"ת. הוא התפעל במיוחד מסרטון העדות הקצר והנוגע ללב, שהופק ונערך על ידי הצוות המסור של מרכז משמעו"ת – רק דוגמה אחת לעשרות עדויות שהם מנציחים.

התרגשות עזה אחזה בכולם כשמקהלת ילדי מועדון כלנית בניצוחה של המורה סניזאנה שרו בקול צלול "עם ישראל חי"! שיא נוסף היה כאשר הזמרת סניזאנה בעלת הקול הנפלא שרה בספרדית עם ילדת המקהלה בת השש – מחווה מרגשת במיוחד לאורח מפנמה.

השגריר ואשתו התרשמו מאוד גם מדור העתיד המבטיח. בני הנוער נציגי כיתות י' מאורט קריית מוצקין, שלוו על ידי מנהלת החטיבה העליונה ענת שחף ומנכ"ל אורט אהוד בן גרא, הציגו רוח של מצוינות ושאלו את השגריר שאלות.חשובות והתנהל דיאלוג מענין מאד. תלמידי מועצת התלמידים העירונית הציגו בגאווה את עשייתם הנפלאה למען הקהילה.

תודה ענקית לכל השותפים שהפכו את היום הזה לבלתי נשכח: לראש העיר ציקי אבישר על תמיכתו ועידודו ביצירת גשרים תרבותיים וחינוכיים עם קהילות בעולם. לזמרת הנפלאה והמורה המסורה של מקהלת ילדי כלנית, סניז'אנה, ובמחלקת הקליטה, אירה. לזיוה, מנהלת מדור הנוער, ולעינב, מנהלת מועצת התלמידים העירונית. לזמרת הצעירה והמוכשרת, התלמידה נועה נחום מחט"ב יונתן. לצוות מרכז משמעו"ת הנפלא והמסור – הלב הפועם של הזיכרון – ענבל סגניתה של ד"ר גנור, חנה, ליבי, גיא, קובי, ליקה ויונה. תודה מיוחדת ליונה כהן, על יצירת ההיכרות המרגשת בינינו לבין השגריר.

חנוכה תשפ"ו | 2026 במרכז משמעו"ת

כמיטב המסורת של מרכז משמעו"ת, אירגנו היום מפגש חנוכה בינדורי מרגש במיוחד. למפגש החגיגי לקראת חג החנוכה שיזם צוות מרכז משמעו"ת בהנהלתה של ד"ר לאה גנור ובשיתוף מנהל חברה ונוער בניהולה של עינב יניב-שורץ הגיעו שורדי שואה יקרים/ות, אזרחים ואזרחיות ותיקים, ומתנדבים/ות שפועלים במרכז משמעו"ת.

למפגש המיוחד הגיעו בנוסף תלמידי כיתות ט', מחטיבות הביניים רודמן ק ים, אפק ודפנה ק. ביאליק ורוגוזין א' קריית אתא, הפעילים בתוכנית "נוער למען זיכרון השואה" בריכוזן של בטי דנון, מנהלת מה"ד חיפה וענבל רז ס.מנהלת מרכז משמעו"ת.

את המפגש פתחו הרב טל ביטון מנהל תרבות תורנית ע.ק. מוצקין והרב עדי פינטו, רכז מתנדבים/ות בברכה מיוחדת והדלקת נרות סימלית. ענבל רז ובטי דנון ברכו את המשתתפים/ות והדגישו עד כמה שורדי השואה הם הלב של פעילותינו. להקת תלמידי חט"ב אפק, בניהולה של גלית אורן, הנעימה את אוזננו, ונציגות אולפנת סגולה שהוזמנו למפגש, ברכו את שורדי השואה וקיימו הפעלה קצרה. אף עין לא נותרה יבשה כאשר שורד השואה אברהם לרנר, ברך אותנו בברכתו המסורתית "שהחיינו וקיימנו והגענו לזמן הזה"

יוזמות את המחר: תוכנית ייחודית לתלמידות מוצקין

תוכנית "יוזמות את המחר" נחנכה בחטיבת הביניים יונתן בקריית מוצקין. מטרת התוכנית בשותפות שלושת חטיבות הביניים במוצקין לעודד ולטפח בתלמידות את היוזמה והפוטנציאל הטמון בכל אחת מהן לעשייה ויצירה מקורית.

תוכנית “יוזמות את המחר” היא תוכנית ייחודית לבנות שכבת ט׳ משלושת חטיבות הביניים והתיכון בקרית החינוך אורט מוצקין, שמטרתה לעודד חשיבה יזמית, יצירתיות, מנהיגות וחדשנות.

התוכנית מתקיימת בהובלתה של יוזמת ורכזת התוכנית, שיפרה קווין, יועצת מעמד האישה לראש העיר ענבל רז, אהוד בן גרא מנהל קרית החינוך ובשיתוף פעולה עם צוותי החינוך ומנהלי החטיבות, ד"ר קרן בבלי, ליאורה הגין ושרון לוי.

במפגש הראשון נרשמה אווירה של התרגשות, אנרגיה ואמונה בכוחן של נערות להוביל וליצור שינוי אמיתי. יחד נצעד השנה במסע מעצים ומעורר השראה שבו כל נערה מגלה את היזמת שבתוכה!

Ambassadors of Hope: Motzkin Youth Delegation to Germany

As part of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany, a youth delegation from Kiryat Motzkin traveled to its twin city in Germany and presented an exhibition created especially to commemorate the historic event. During their visit, they toured Germany and commemorated the victims of the Holocaust. Before their departure, the delegation received preparation by the Mashmaut Center team. Upon their departure, they met Mayor Tziki Avisar and Mashmaut Center Director Dr. Lea Ganor.

On the evening of October 9, a special youth delegation from the "Rabin" Junior high School in Kiryat Motzkin set off on a historic journey to its twin city in Germany. On the trip, they were not only students but also ambassadors of Kiryat Motzkin and the State of Israel. In these complex times, their trip is not taken for granted, and it is proof of both the deep and important ties with the friends of the State of Israel around the world. Furthermore, this is the only youth delegation from Israel that went to Germany as part of the events marking 60 years of diplomatic relations between the countries.

The delegation, which included 12 art students from the Rabin junior high school, were hosted for a week in the homes of German families from the district. The students experienced a week full of exciting events. All of this as part of a youth exchange, a twin cities alliance, and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Israel and Germany. The delegation members took part in a remembrance ceremony at the Flossenbürg concentration camp and participated in a particularly moving ceremony. They also experienced art workshops, participated in the opening of an exhibition of posters they created on the subject of relations between the countries, visited museums, and experienced a new cultural experience.

Thank for the welcome of all the hosts of the district and the representatives of the host communities, thanks to the team of the host organization KJR, to the parents and the host youth. As part of the hospitality week, the delegation members met a community full of values and sympathy for Israel. Their demonstration towards the delegation members from the first moment was gracious. Most of all, the human encounter symbolizes a significant milestone in the relations between the countries, between the cities and especially between the hearts of everyone who took part.

Upon the delegation's return to Israel, they met with Mayor Tziki Avisar in his office and shared their experience. Mayor Avisar wrote: "This journey is complex educational project, carefully planned by the Kiryat Motzkin Municipality in coordination with the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Embassy in Berlin. The members of the delegation, who were hosted in family homes, underwent a formative experience that will accompany them for many years. I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Lea Ganor, Director of mashmaut center and Foreign Relations, and her team, the school principal, Liora Hagin and the teachers Natalie and Chayla – for your dedicated work. May blessings be upon all of you. To our dear students – we are proud of you!"
