Toasting the New Year with Holocaust survivors and youth

Dozens of youth and Holocaust survivors Gathered at Mashmaut Center on Wednesday (September 17) to greet the New Year. The event included speeches by the center's director, Dr. Lea Ganor, and the mayor, Mr. Tziki Avisar. Greetings were also given by members of the municipality and the community. In addition, the participants watched a performance by actor Gil Danino and singer Snezhana.

In honor of the New Year, dozens of Holocaust survivors and school students, representatives of the municipality headed by Mayor Tsiki Avishar, the staff of mashmaut center led by Dr. Lea Ganor, and the general public gathered to express their congratulations for the upcoming Rosh Hashanah (Jewish new year).

The event was attended by students from Atid School from Kiryat Motzkin, accompanied by teacher Alon, students from Ulpanat Segula, Gandy Dozerchev, Deputy Mayor, Maayan Solomon, Director of the Welfare Department, Ira, Director of the Absorption Department, staff and volunteers from Mashmaut.
The event was addressed by the director of Mashmaut center Dr. Lea Ganor, who spoke about the year of activity with Holocaust survivors at the center of this activity. Mayor Tziki Avisar spoke about the importance of this activity within the city and wished everyone a happy new year and continued meaningful work.
The artistic part of the event featured the singer Snezhana, and the volunteer actor at the center, Gil Danino, presented a comedy act with an optimistic tone of hope. It was an exciting and rare genrations event. This is the place to thank Mayor Tziki Avisar for his support and encouragement, his deputy Gandy Dozorchev, all the partners, the artists and the students of Atid School for the wonderful refreshments, and the Holocaust survivors who came. We would also like to thank the students of Ulpana Segula high-school, Ira, director of the absorption department, Maayan, director of the welfare department, for their fruitful cooperation and providing transportation. To Ziva and Einav from Kiryat Motzkin youth department, Shirley Lampel from the youth center, and the Holocaust survivors who are our guiding light in our educational work.
This is how we say goodbye to the year that has ended and start a new one with the hope that the new year will be better than the previous one, and with the prayer that the kidnapped will return home safe, a recovery for the wounded, safety for our soldiers, and that there will be only good news.
