Building Bridges of Heritage and Hope: The Mayor's Delegation to Płońsk (Poland)

The Visit of Mayor Tziki Avisar delegation to Płońsk, the historic birthplace of David Ben-Gurion, came to an end full of significant achievements, both in terms of values ​​and education. The entire visit was a significant milestone in strengthening international ties and in passing on the legacy of the first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, to future generations.

The global partnership: the Twin Cities Summit, where the delegation members met with senior representatives from Płońsk's twin cities from various European countries at the festival in Płońsk. These meetings created an extraordinary human, personal and organizational connection, which highlighted the shared vision of peace, tolerance and innovation. There was an exciting convergence around the idea of ​​a strategic partnership, which gives a new spirit to the foreign relations of local authorities.
The delegation from Kiryat Motzkin received warm welcome and the members of the delegation, which included Mayor Tziki Avisar, Dr. Lea Ganor, Director of the city's International and Foreign Relations, and Uri Sagi, a member of the city council and chairman of the economic society, were cordially received and had an impressive dialogue with the other representatives.
Dr. Ganor, a Polish speaker, maintains ongoing foreign relations to Guard the memory of the Hollocaust and the heritage of the jewish people and has been working for many years to strengthen the connection between Kiryat Motzkin and its twin cities in Poland and other countries. The Mashmaut Center is a recognized and respected educational institution in Poland and in various countries around the world.
At the same time, the delegation was given an honorary status in a series of meetings with senior officials. A particularly important meeting took place with the Senior Minister at the Presidential Palace, Mr. Wojciech Kolarski, who received the delegation in the VIP room at the Polish Presidential Palace and emphasized the Polish government's commitment to continued cooperation. The visit also included a meeting with the Israeli Ambassador to Poland, Yaakov Finkelstein, who provided strong support and reinforcement for the activities taking place between Kiryat Motzkin and the Mashmaut Center with the twin cities, educational institutions and organizations in Poland.
The educational connection: The most important part concerned the future connection. The delegation visited the school in Płońsk, which maintains close ties with the Mashmaut Center and the Ben Gurion School in Kiryat Motzkin. The educational effort, based on active and interactive learning, ensures the passing on of the torch of Ben Gurion's legacy and noble values, thus strengthening the chain of Jewish-Israeli generations.
