A unique and moving conference was held to mark the 10th anniversary of the passing of Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor, thinker, and writer regarded as "the moral conscience of the world" who transformed the dark experience of the Night into a lifelong mission of light, memory, and human responsibility. The Mashmaut Center hosted a compelling conference rich in inspiration and academic depth, bringing together diverse spheres from academia and the diplomatic arena: the Romanian Ambassador to Israel, the Mayor, leading scholars from the Institute for Holocaust Research at Bar-Ilan University, Holocaust survivors, and members of the general public.
