Foreign Relations & Embassy
In 1965, an agreement was signed to establish diplomatic relations between the young State of Israel and post-World War II Germany. Since then, the relationship has grown, and to mark 60 years of foreign relations between the countries, Kiryat Motzkin was invited to Magdeburg, its twin city, for an event to mark the historical connection between the countries. Mayor Tziki Avisar and the director of the Mashmaut Center and Foreign Relations, Dr. Lea Ganor, led the delegation on the historic visit.

German Ambassador to Israel Steffen Seibert visited Kiryat Motzkin and Mashmaut Center, directed by Dr. Lea Ganor, Director of the Center and Director of Foreign Relations at Motzkin Municipality. The visit took place on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of foreign relations between Israel and Germany, as well as the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

As part of Holocaust Remembrance Week, Dr. Lea Ganor, Director of Mashmaut Center, visited the last living Righteous Among the Nations in Israel, along with the Polish Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Maciej Hunia.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Israel Ms. Slavna Gergova and her diplomatic staff visited Kiryat Motzkin, the municipality and the Mashmaut Center. During the visit, the Ambassador got to know the city, met Holocaust survivors and youth, and possibilities for future cooperation were raised.

On February 10, 2025, the Mashmaut Center had the honor of hosting the Polish Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Maciej Honia, along with members of the Polish Embassy's diplomatic staff, Ms. Magdalena kukula and Mr. Lukas Levy.

The celebration of Polish Independence Day at the Polish Embassy in Israel took place at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv with many representatives of the State of Israel and Poland, and Dr. Lea Ganor, Director of the Mashmaut Center, also participated, as part of the close relationship with the Polish Embassy.
