The Resident and Holocaust survivors service centeropening
A Resident service center, a dedicated service for the rights of Holocaust survivors, was officially opened in the Kiryat Motzkin municipality.

On July 8 a resident service center was officially opened in Motzkin Municipality which also includes a service for Holocaust survivors. The event took place at the municipality in the presence of Holocaust survivors, Mayor Tziki Avisar, Deputy Minister Uri Maklev from the Prime Minister Office, Municipality Director General Mr. Yaniv Ashur, Community Service Department Director Michal Tuvia, Welfare Department Director Maayan Solomon, representatives of the Authority for Holocaust Survivors, Ms. Eti Katan, Authority employees, the Mashmaut staff and volunteers.
In her remarks, the director of Mashmaut Center, Dr. Lea Ganor, emphasized that as a second generation Holocaust survivor, she see great privilege in leading Mashmaut Center for 31 years, and that "Holocaust survivors are for us in our educational work and an example and role model for the human spirit in the Holocaust and its rebirth". Ganor added that during the 31 years of Mashmaut Center "we have been in close contact with the survivors through activities and telephone contact by the dedicate staff and volunteers who serve as a listening ear and a connecting link with the city's Welfare Department and the director of the department, Maayan Solomon".
The project of close contact with Holocaust survivors is being dedicatedly coordinated by Hana Oren from Mashmaut in cooperation with the welfare departments in the municipality. The Resident and Holocaust survivors service center, which opened in the municipality, is a very important and significant place in improving the connection with Holocaust survivors in the city.
