On Wednesday (3.7) a study day was held at Mashmaut center for the delegation of youth from the “Rabin” High School, Kiryat Yam, ahead of their journey to Poland.

The day started with a lecture by Dr. Lea Ganor, director of the Mashmaut Center, on “Remembrance of the Holocaust after October 7th” and later on “Polish Jewish relations before the war, during and after it”.

After the lecture, a workshop was held on the topic: “In the ocean of hate there were also humans” – rescue in the Holocaust led by the center team: Inbal Raz, Kobi Dana and Guy Hellenbrand. The workshop dealt with stories of rescue during the Holocaust and stories of the Righteous Among the Nations.

In the last part of the day, members of the delegation met Holocaust survivor Gad Finali, who shared with the youth his experiences from the Holocaust in France and the struggle for his return and the return of his brother after the Holocaust to Judaism and to their family. the teenagers celebrated Gadi’s birthday.

The seminar day was significant and important. Thanks to the team of teachers of “Rabin” K. Yam High School: Merav Margalit and Sigi Rudlak, who chose to come to Mashmaut center for a seminar day.
