On Wednesday (August 27), a delegation of students from Rabin High School in Kiryat Yam, led by Aviva Cohen, gathered at the Mashmaut Center for an meaningful seminar in preparation for a journey that is all about memory, learning, and commemoration. The seminar dealt with important topics such as a memory, Righteous Among the Nations, and the meaning of traveling to Poland.
The highlight of the day was a fascinating meeting with Mr. Mark Roboszkiewicz, a Holocaust survivor from the Warsaw Ghetto. He shared with the students a personal testimony about his life in the ghetto and his impossible rescue by the Righteous Among the Nations. Mr. Roboszkiewicz's testimony gave deep meaning and a human face to the stories of the Holocaust, and left a strong impression on the students.
The Mashmaut Center thanks the school principal Aviva Cohen as the head of the delegation, Orna Mizrahi, Merav Margalit, and the dedicated educational staff who accompanied the delegation and participated in the seminar for their cooperation.
