Thursday 9.5 marked the 79th day of victory over Nazi Germany. To mark the day, veterans residents of Kiryat Motzkin gathered near the Victory Monument in Golda Park in Kiryat Motzkin for a municipal ceremony led by Ira Liebshitz, director of the reception department of the Motzkin municipality.

The mayor, Tsiki Avisher, his deputies, the director general of the authority, dignitaries from the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption, the chairman of Yad Labanim, Dr. Leah Ganor, director of the Mashamot Center and the center’s staff, participated and spoke at the ceremony, the director general of the Association of Concentration Camp and Ghetto Survivors, Mr. Roman Bremnik.

Many more guests came to pay their respects and lay a wreath. “We salute Lutherans for their courage while being fierce in their war in Nazi Germany.”
