The Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony
Kiryat Motzkin marked the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day and Heroism by marking the 80th anniversary of the extermination of Hungarian Jewry and the liquidation of the Lodz Ghetto.An evening in which we all unite with the memory of the six million Jews who were murdered in the terrible Holocaust. In a moving ceremony led by Dr. Leah Ganor, director of the Mashamot Center, Holocaust survivors told their personal stories and lit a torch.

The municipal ceremony to commemorate the Holocaust Memorial Day was held at the theater hall, marking the 80th anniversary of the extermination of Hungarian Jews and the liquidation of the Lodz Ghetto in the presence of the mayor, Tziki Avisar, head of the public diplomacy section at the Polish Embassy in Israel, Ms. Magda Kowka, district director of the Ministry of Education, Ms. Sigal Cohen and representatives of the district administration, Holocaust survivors and the Publik.
